Random Length Continuous
Random Length Continuous Layup is applicable to three or more equal spans.  Each decking piece must bear on at least one supporting member.  End joints must be end-matched and each piece slant nailed to adjacent pieces within 12 in. of any end joint.  End joints in adjacent courses shall be not less than 24 in. apart and end joints in alternate courses shall not be less than 12 in. apart (measured parallel to the span).  At least every third course in the end spans may have no end joints.
