Bud Filler
Bud has a
degree in wood utilization from Penn State, and a MF in forest products
from the University of British Columbia. His background includes summers
as a Forest Service smokejumper, two years of active duty as an Army
artillery officer and experience as a logger and mill worker before moving
into sales and marketing management for Boise Cascade. He has been on the
board and served as past president of the American Institute of Timber
Construction. His hobbies are flying, skiing, hunting and writing. He and
his wife, Ellie, live in Boise, Idaho. They have three sons and two
daughters.

Wayne
King
Wayne
has a degree in forestry from the California State University
of Humboldt, and a MBA from the University of Oregon. His background
includes summers as a U.S. Forest Service hotshot crewman, logging
in northern California and working in mill and regional management
for Boise Cascade. He is active on the board and as past president
of the Timber Manufacturers Association. His hobbies are flying,
aircraft restoration, hunting and backpacking. He lives with his
wife, Dorthea, in Boise, Idaho. They have three daughters.
Jim
Griswold
Filler King Company proudly announces the addition of Jim Griswold
as our General Manager effective February 1, 2003. Jim comes to
us with a vast array of knowledge and expertise in manufacturing,
sales and administration, with a 1991 BS in Forest Products from
Oregon State.
We are excited and pleased with the ideas he has implemented for
increased efficiency to date and those that are in process or
yet to come. He is also responsible for the installation of a
new beam press line that should be in production by June 2003.
This new line will increase Filler Kings beam volume by
approximately 70%.
Jim has been married to his beautiful wife Evie for 11 years.
They have three children, Madison 7 , Emmalie 6 and Nate 3. He
is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hiking, hunting and fishing.
Tony Guzman
Tony started working for Filler King Company shortly upon graduation
from Wilder High School in 1988. Tony started on the production
line doing a variety of jobs in the beam lay-up department. As
a new comer at the time he was given the toughest jobs including
beam tamping. This job involves using a 40 pound weight on the
end of a bar and tamping each lam before clamping up. After working
on the line for four years, Tony was promoted to plant quality
control supervisor. Tony says, I was nervous in this new
job, but it was interesting and I wouldnt have to run the
tamper anymore.
Tony was promoted, several years later, to hi current position
as Plant Manager. Tony is married and he enjoys being around people,
making new friends and takes pride in being part of the Filler
King team.
Beth Bonner
Beth has been with Filler King Company for 3 years. She began
in the shipping department and has recently moved into sales.
Among her new job duties she enjoys being able to help customers
get the products they need, as well as the new friendships she
has begun to make.
When not working, Beth enjoys spending time with family and friends.
During the summer months her hobbies include camping, fishing
and water-skiing. However, when the weather turns cold she enjoys
baking and scrap booking.
Glenda Johnson
Glenda Johnson has been employed by Filler King Company since
June of 1989. She began as a finger-joint off-bearer and over
the past 14 years she has worked in a variety of jobs in the plant,
including deck plant supervisor. Her current responsibilities
include overseeing plant scheduling, shipping and inventory. Glenda
also serves as plant safety coordinator.
Glenda has been married for 24 years and has two daughters. The
elder daughter is married and has 2 sons; the younger daughter
is a Senior in high school. Glenda enjoys a variety of activities
including family time, reading and gardening. 4-wheeling, camping,
hunting and fishing are also on her schedule when time and weather
permits.
Amy McCabe
Amy started as Traffic Coordinator with Filler King Company. As
Filler King continued to grow, she was promoted to sales. Amy
has been in sales for 3 years and is currently the Sales Manager.
She enjoys the challenges of meeting customer needs and the friendships
she has made.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys spending time with her family and
friends. Her hobbies include fishing, swimming and showing cutting
horses.
