As a new addition to the company at the time, he was given the toughest jobs including beam tamping. This job involves using a 40 pound weight on the end of a bar and tamping each lam before clamping up. After working on the line for four years, Tony was promoted to plant quality control supervisor. Tony says, “ I was nervous in this new job, but it was interesting and I wouldn’t have to run the tamper anymore”. |
